Estee Lauder Liquid Lip Potion

Many lip products pass through my doors claiming to be lightweight and to make lips feels soft and smooth. But I can tell you that it’s all boxes – and more – ticked with the Estee Lauder Liquid Lip Potion. They’ve slapped in avocado oil, jojoba oil and sunflower oil with hyaluronic acid. They call it the Time Release Encapsulated Moisture Complex, but whatever. It’s very, very good.

The wand is curved so it hugs the lip and the effect is a smoother, satin finish lip that feels virtually bare. Claims that it has the slip of a gloss and the pigment of a lipstick are true. Claims that Estee Lauder Liquid Lip Potion lasts up to 8 hours are hopeful, but it certainly has longer last than any gloss. They’re fragranced with redcurrant, mandarin and apple blossom but to be honest, predominantly smell of vanilla, so don’t be swayed by that!

Shades I have here are: Fragile Ego, Extreme Nude, Cold Fire and Naked Ambition.

In terms of new lip experiences, Estee Lauder Liquid Lip Potion is as good as it gets for the genre. Mind you, at £25, so it should be – I am noticing Lauder pushing their prices up and up. These launch at the beginning of August and bridge the matte/gloss gap beautifully.

  1. Fragile Ego is such a beautiful shade! I’ve always loved Estee Lauder products so no doubt when they are released I will end up picking some up.

  4. Extreme Nude is very pretty.

I cannot believe Lauder prices in the last few years. Although I still have the soft spot of a former Lauder employee for Lauder products and I feel like I’m in on the “wink” of department store prices, I am beginning to feel like a dupe at these increases. I always go look, but I buy less and less.

I have to agree with the other comments. I have used estee lauder products for the last 18 years but their prices are becoming ridiculous. My favourite EL moisturiser need replacing again but I don’t think I can bring myself to fork out almost 70euro for it.

  6. Love the sounds of these ingredients and the nude colours however £ 25 is a bit too expensive…

i feel like ES is killing it with their releases of late especially their lip products. I don’t know quite what happened with the primer mascara launch as no one is really talking about it and it still hasnt launched in Sweden.

They look interesting, I will definitely get one for sure. As for the price, I believe all brands are pushing them up, to be fair. Tom Ford, Charlotte Tilbury….ridiculous. Unfortunately the price is not always a guarantee for quality (e.g most products from CT, Tom Ford sheer lipsticks, etc), so one needs to rely on the reviews found on the net before making an investment.
