Nobody is more embarrassed about the state of my windows than me, but we have major building works going on next door and despite my them being cleaned weekly, the dust just keeps on coming. All you need to do is add sunlight and they look like they haven’t been cleaned for a year. So, back to the product after my housekeeping disclaimer! It’s the Erborian Colour Pen* – a lip stain in a pen format. It looks novelty, I know, but this thing really works!
This shade is Sweet Poppy – it’s rather a visceral red but has stayed put on my lips all morning without fading. The point about the pen having that bobbly nib is that you can draw around your lip line accurately and then fill in. The formula needs completely dry lips to adhere evenly but once it’s on, you can forget about it. I usually find lip stains drying but the addition of hyaluronic in this has definitely counteracted any dryness for me. You can build up colour to any intensity you want – I’ve actually put on some balm over the top to give it some shine now and the colour (as you’d expect if you add oils) is starting to break down but it’s certainly not gone and is resisting the oils quite well.
There is another red shade – Hot Cherry – that looks more pink based to me in pictures. The Erborian Colour Pen is on offer for £14 from £19 HERE.
