I’m not usually all that excited about new shades within an existing range but there are the odd exceptions here and there, including the new colours for Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Ultra Lipstick.
The Ceramide formula is a very forgiving lipstick, particularly for lips that are creased or not as full as they used to be. It’s extremely gentle on the lips, so no dragging, and feels full of moisture. They contain a triple ceramide complex (there isn’t a clear break down on this complex) but with regular use the claim is that it helps to re-texturise. It does make sense I think – if the complex can lock in moisture, which is it supposed to do, then your lips will look smoother and less dehydrated; it certainly feels very smoothing and moisturising and has a bit of a sheen to it, without quite a ‘shine’. There’s also a bit of plumping ingredient, which I have to say, I couldn’t really tell was there.
Although mostly I don’t believe that you need to buy different make up products if you fall into the beauty+ category, but this lipstick does seem to be favourably slanted towards beauty+ issues (and customer reviews on the US site would support that). New shades are (from bottom to top): Magenta Bubbly, Cherry Bomb, Blushing Pink and Coral Fizz. I’m also a sucker for the glitzy casing with the Elizabeth Arden ‘red door’ design.
You can find the new shades of Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Lipsticks from March, but if you like the idea of the lipstick in general, FeelUnique have a good selection in stock (and cheaper than the high street at £17.85) HERE.
