Elf Monochromatic Multi-Stick

Elf Monochromatic Multi-Stick

This is probably the easiest piece of make up you’ll ever own. I love a little stick of colour for primping cheeks and my general rule is that multi-use products like this only ever do one thing really well. For my own preference this is for cheeks, but I’ve tried it on my lids (that peachy shade!) and it’s actually rather lovely giving an instant eye brightening effect.

In terms of lip use – yes, if you literally pat it at your lips rather than try and do any traditional lipstick swipes – you do get a natural looking colour boost. It’s really the perfect one-stop stick for chucking in your bag and touching up on the go if you need to. Although the colours look quite saturated these are more in the vein of no-make up make up – very subtle, very natural and very fresh although feel free to build!  I can see them being very appealing (especially at £5) to anyone looking to simplify their routine and cut down on product usage, but really, they’re so handy, they’re useful additions for anyone.

I should also say that they’re lightly shimmery but nothing extreme. In the swatch, it’s Sparkling Rose (a beige pink), Glistening Peach and Lumious Berry, which is the brightest, colour wise. I used Sparkling Rose on my lips and Glistening Peach on eyes and cheeks. If you spotted my K-Pop beauty post yesterday, you’ll have seen that staying within the same colour spectrum on eyes, cheeks and lips is a ‘thing’ hence the name, ‘monochromatic’. You can find them HERE. Interestingly, they’re only $4, yet £5.

    Hi Jane
A bit of a random question, but…I have often bought things from ELF at Superdrug, recently I went to repeat purchase an eyebrow pencil and a blush/bronzer duo (the Nars dupe!). Anyway I could swear all the products on the display are now half the price they were but there is no sale or offer on as such – eyebrows pencil £3 instead of £6 and blush due £5 instead of £10… When I ask the girls in the shop if there has been some global decision to reduce the prices they just shrug their shoulders and look at me like I am mad??! I thought you may know…?? Don’t get me wrong I’m not composing! Also very irritatingly the “same” products on their website (ELFs, not Superdrug) are often “diffrtent” eg the undereye setting powder comes with a brush online but not in the shop but same price point…?? Primers often different sizes online to shop – I’m just wondering if it’s perh not doing great in Superdrug (it’s always on the last unit of the makeup aisle!) and may be about to disappear??
    Thanks
    Fiona

I’d be surprised if it was disappearing – they’ve just appointed a new PR so that’s unlikely I’d say. Perhaps they’re just going to on-line only or something. As far as I know though, all is ok. I will check though because it all sounds quite inconsistent. x

Thanks Jane, im just curious and I knew you were the person to ask! Who knows perhaps the prices haven’t changed and it’s my imagination – but when the brand hit Superdrug I def remember picking up the blush/bronzer duo (having read about it being an extremely affordable brand) and thinking £10 seemed expensive and now it’s obly £5.
        Thanks in advance.

So I have some answers for you from ELF.. “Our Superdrug product prices haven’t changed since we went into the store 13 months ago. The only change that has occurred is lowering the price of our 10 piece Mad for Matte Eyeshadow Palette. Where e.l.f. is placed in the store is up to the discretion of the retailer. The great news is that e.l.f. is going into more Superdrug stores with cosmetics and adding skincare to a number of stores.

As for assortment, we have offer a broader assortment of products on elfcosmetics.co.uk site. Our own e.l.f. website serves as a test lab for new products. We launch over 120 products per year and our website helps us gauge which products are the best based on sales, user reviews and overall feedback. If products pass all of those hurdles, we will launch the product more broadly into retail. Similar to our U.S. elfcosmetics.com, we carry many more products on the site than we do in store. We price the same on elfcosmetics.co.uk as we do at Superdrug and now at Feelunique.com.”

Thanks so much for this Jane, so my initial thinking is true…I’m going mad!!!?
They def have some very interesting products on their own site. Thanks for the info.
