[unpaid/ad/sample/affiliate] I’ve got to admit that I’m an absolute sucker for these – from the shiny, blocky packaging to the gloopy, gleaming gloss – I’m in 100%.

Dior Lip Glow Oil Colour Revivers

I mentioned yesterday when reviewing the Westman Atelier palette that cherry oil seems to be an ingredient of the moment – sure enough, the Dior Lip Glow Oils list it in the title. I wish it made them properly cherry flavoured – they smell sweetly fruity, but I can’t, hand on heart, identify it as cherry. The thing about these is that they offer a next level shine with the very merest hint of colour. It’s that hint that should, in theory, work with your natural lip colour to elevate it somewhat so that the effect is you, but more.

The curved doe’s foot applicator is extra big so that it really hugs the lips as you apply – the oversized-ness of it gives you a feeling that your lips are huge so application is a juicy, sensory experience. In the line up from right to left is: Cherry, Raspberry and Pink.

These two are Rosewood and Berry. I think the obvious comparison would be with the Clarins Lip Oils and I’d say that these are more syrupy and sumptuous and give more lip luminosity, but that Clarins doesn’t need re-application quite so often. These are definitely for those who don’t mind regularly topping up – that is just the lot of a gloss wearer!

So, from bottom to top: Berry, Rosewood, Cherry, Raspberry and Pink. This isn’t a standard clear gloss formula – there’s a level of luminosity that you don’t usually get from your average gloss – a kind of lip luminosity I suppose you would say. John Lewis has some of the shades at £23.80 HERE on a limited time promotional offer, non affiliate HERE, otherwise, they’re £28 each at Dior.com.
