DIOR Backstage Glow Face Palette

[unpaid/samples] If there’s a time for light, it’s right now. That mid-way moment where it’s not quite autumn but it’s not really still summer. I think we’re scheduled for a drop in temperature mid-week and who knows whether anyone will be going out anywhere given the current news. Nonetheless, if your make up mojo has returned a bit, these are definitely covetable pretties.

Personally, I like the detailing on this – Oh, before I forget, I found a Dior blush on-line that reminded me so much of their past ‘collectables’ .. I won’t be able to resist adding it to my collection and it’s a very long time since I’ve wanted to add to the collection.

DIOR Blush

It’s pretty, right? It’s a limited edition in a shade called Trafalgar and it’s £36.50 HERE). Anyway, that’s a pure digression. There’s a new Lip Maximizer as well as the Glow Face.

Dior Lip Maximizers are quite punchy in their plumping ingredients – you certainly know they are there. This one, Copper Gold, gives a twinkly shimmer immersed in gloss so you get a light wash of sheen and glint.

I like it for all tones, warm, deep or light and if you are blessed with ginger or auburn hair – snap it up. I never see results from lip plumping products and I have no idea why not. I sometimes wonder whether it was that time I over -used Lip Venom in a restaurant and I’ve developed a strange immunity :-)).

Formulas starting top and going round the clock are: Sheer (gold pearl), Metallic (pink gold), Shimmer (rose) and Metallic (golden peach).

Personally, I’m veering towards the pink shades although I like the idea that it is designed to give ‘rose with a golden gleam’.  The palette shade is called Rose Gold, it’s £36 HERE. The Lip Maximizer is £28 HERE.

I’m always so put off by the clear packaging – it looks cheap, which I wouldn’t mind if the products actually were cheap! But for a high end brand, it doesn’t feel right. It feels oddly early 00s – like a pink velour Juicy Couture tracksuit in makeup form – though since the 00s keep threatening to come back, it might end up being a trendsetter! Better than low-rise jeans at any rate 🙂

omg NOOOOOO to low rise jeans!

Late to the party but the return of a low rise jean would be worse than Brexit and Covid put together… Have to say that face palette looks lovely but I’d probably use it as an eye palette!

can you imagine! yes I think you can easily use it on eyes x
