My notes here introduce the Dior Addict Lacquer Sticks as ‘a new chapter opening’ so my guess is that we will see more in this vein. It can’t come quick enough because I love it! The new packaging has a pink neon ‘go faster’ stripe arranged around the perimeter of the lid which somehow just does elevate the look of the lacquers to something more exciting than your average lipstick.
The actual lacquer formulas are divine – if you like a juicy, shiny lip with a tonne of pigment. If you’re a matte lover, these aren’t for you! I guess you could say that it’s like a liquid lacquer but in a lipstick formula.
The shades I have here are: Turn Me Dior, Tease, Diabolo and Sauvage. I will say that in testing both Turn Me Dior and Sauvage, but more so Sauvage, that it took several swipes to get an even distribution on the lips. I got there, but it wasn’t a swipe and go affair – these are big pigments in an imprecise application method so you do need to be careful.
I’ve swatched at one swipe each but remember these are buildable. So from bottom to top: Diabolo, Turn Me Dior, Tease and Sauvage.
They’re launching in April for £27.50 each.
