[unpaid/sample] Everything so far that I’ve tried from the Danessa Myricks brand has been an absolute joy. I still have several lipsticks to try and get swatched but next is line is the Light Work Highlighting Palette.

Danessa Myricks Light Work Highlighting Palette

As you see, six differing shades of light infused powders – they’re super-soft and almost creamy so diffuse on the skin like a dream.

These are more delicate than most – I was trying to calculate, roughly, how many highlight palettes I’ve seen in the last five years and it’s more than I can keep track of – which is was separates it from what you buy on the high street. I’d say that the shades, when diffused, give that almost-liquid kind of glow but without making you look glittery or metal-faced. You can, of course, build to a deeper intensity but I like the less is more touch.

Danessa is a photographer and make-up artist, so how light hits the skin is something she’s really tuned into and it shows. The shades, bottom to top, are Like Duhh, Common Sense, Piece of Cake, Easy Breezy and Smooth Sailing. It’s £42 HERE, BUT there is the Light Work II HERE which is more pink-toned for £31.20 so look at that as well before you decide.
