If you’ve been eagle eyed you might have spotted that Clarins is releasing a new skin care collection called My Clarins aimed at 18-29 year olds as their current customer falls into the 30+ demographic.
It’s scheduled for a UK launch in February. Instagram might explode because I suspect they will be going hard after influencers on this one. So, it looks like the Clarins Spring make-up collection is a bit of a precursor to that as it’s called Selfie Ready. And if you think it’s too early for spring, it launches 6th January.
As well as the Ready In A Flash palette which contains four eye shadows and two brow powders, there are these two rather lovely Glow 2 Go Duo Sticks (everything is falling neatly into the multi-functional category which is absolutely a Gen Z thing). As you can see, there’s also a pore-blurring product to use as a mattifying primer and is in one shade that apparently adapts to all tones.
The silver bottomed stick is Harmony 1 and the bronze is Harmony 2. I have to say that the textures are absolutely gorgeous – very sleek and silky on the skin with plenty of pigment so that you don’t need to use too much. I think they’ll last and last
The highlighting have as much glow as you’d ever need without being over the top high-beam. It’s a good call from the brand to use a silvery, iridescent glow on the pink stick although personally I love a pink/bronze combo. They’re £26 each.
See? I think these are gorgeous shades – very wearable.
The palette is a good fit with the cheek shades as well – sorry, I haven’t got to swatching it yet – and it’s £32. The Instant Poreless is £24. It’s actually a pleasure to see a bit of life and fun injected into Clarins – hopefully they’ll also take note that you don’t have to be under 30 to enjoy quirky, cool things.
