Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Palette of Pops

[productsample/affiliatelink] Apparently a Matte Revolution Pillow Talk lipstick sells every two minutes (as does the Lip Cheat Liner) across the world. That’s a lot of lipsticks and when it comes to the numbers game, highly significant in the face of so much recent competition for this brand.

Obviously, when you’re on to a good thing, keep going, and that’s exactly what the brand has done with the Palette of Pops – a gleaming, shimmering eye quad with rich colours and a glowing finish. As you can see, there’s also a limited edition Lip Lustre (called Pillow Talk) that offers a glossy alternative to matte.

If you like glimmering lids, there’s really nothing not to like here – from a pearly pink pop to a deep red-bronze shade, you can really pick your colour intensity level from the same colour family.

I find it hard to wear nude lips that are this kind of pale, creamy tone – it’s a shade that looks gorgeous on very pale or very dark tones but sometimes doesn’t quite work for olive tones like me who need something with just a bit more brown in it.

The texture is silky and smooth and the shine is high without being vinyl and it has a vanilla scent if you like a bit of sweetness from your lip products. It’s £19.

I’ve done two lots of swatches – one in normal day light and one slightly darker when the light actually hits the shadows head-on which is when they spring to life. The palette is £42 which is a lot for a quad but I don’t think that will stop it selling crazily well! You can find them both HERE.

The recent reports coming out has really put me off Charlotte Tilbury. Abuse and bullying to one side, using other brands’ products to achieve her looks in promo material is really not good. Hopefully it all receives proper investigation.

I haven’t heard of this although don’t hear great things about counters – just yesterday a lady at an event I was at told me about a horrible experience she had in Manchester.Certainly there are things that need ironing out and soon.

I love the original Pillow Talk lipstick … but I’d love it even more if Charlotte launched it in her Kissing formula!!! If you’re reading Charlotte ….

Great photos and review Jane. Hmm this palette and the gloss look a bit samey to me. Really can’t get into CT and the “darlings” hyped approach. Plus a lot of her publicity / how to material in store is still heavy on the airbrushing / photoshop imagery… gggrr!

      Poor Joan looks embalmed!

It took a few moments for the penny to drop …. OMG, you’re right. I think the airbrush must have worked overtime for those promo pictures. I love Joan, but those pictures look really odd.
