Charlotte Tilbury Palette of Pops

Charlotte Tilbury Palette of Pops

If you like some lid sparkle you’re absolutely going to love these. There are two Palettes of Pops .. oh wait, how do you pluralize that?! Palettes of Pop, maybe? One is Supersonic Girl (above) and the other is Starlight (coming right up). Supersonic Girl is quite similar to a lot of other colour-ways on the market at the moment but there is a difference in texture to most.

I have to say that they swatch on the arm (with sponge applicator) horribly, but apply on the lid like an absolute dream. What you’ll notice is the light bounce from the colours once they’re in place, light shifting depending upon where you are. They all seem to have the same gold base that becomes very apparent in the wear and you’ll catch yourself in the mirror showing gold until you tilt your head slightly and the over colour appears. They’re stunning.

Personally, I’m more drawn to Starlight, which includes a golden khaki amongst steely silver and a deeper, pewter shade.

I don’t find either palette overly pigmented (I got caught out with a very pigmented Marc Jacobs grey on Friday and planted way to much of it on my lid so had to start again because there was no way I could blend it out) but this formula picks up on a good brush so nicely and delivers the right amount to the lid. The formula IS super-sparkly so you’re best off applying eyes first so you can dust of the inevitable fine glitter drop before you apply base. It’s not a particularly droppy formula, by the way, but those glimmers are so miniscule that they will find their way elsewhere.

The Palettes of Pop (s)??? feel like proper party palettes – I know we all have way too many palettes but these really feel ‘occasion’ and I can’t wait to wear them more! They’re £39 each HERE.
