Chantecaille Save The Forest Palette

Chantecaille Save The Forest Palette

Not only is this year’s Chantecaille palette a thing of beauty, it’s also a reminder of how important it is to preserve the rain forests. I could go on nearly forever about how losing natural habitats means that we will lose animals forever and how devastating deforestation is to primates in particular although by no means exclusively. Some of the saddest pictures I’ve ever seen and that remain imprinted on my mind are those of struggling primates. I just don’t know how it’s possible that forests can be culled at the rate they are when the consequences are so horrible and far-reaching. But, anyhow! Doing a bit for the Rainforest Alliance is Chantecaille’s Save The Forest palette donating a portion of proceeds from the sale of every palette. These palettes are £78 – and they usually sell out at that price, too – so money soon adds up to a helpful amount.

As you can see, each colour (3 eyes and one highlight) has a beautiful gorilla imprint. Shades from deepest in the left hand corner and round are: Volcano, Dawn, Mist and Bamboo. The highlight shifts pink and gold.

In the swatch, bottom to top: Dawn, Mist, Bamboo and Volcano. They’ve all got a lightly metallic element to them which translates to more of a sheen on the lids rather than a high voltage metal. They’re highly wearable shades even if they’re not exactly ground breaking. It’s launching in the UK any day now (keep an eye on SpaceNK) but in the meantime if you’d rather go straight to the Rainforest Alliance, it’s HERE.

This is a stunningly beautiful quad of shades that can be worn day and night. Just love them and the cause is so worthy.
