Chantecaille Just Skin Review

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] This is a very good week for product – everything seems to have revved up a pace so I have some beautiful things to show you. Let’s start with Chantecaille Just Skin – it’s expensive and probably more than I’d pay myself for a base being perfectly honest, but it’s funny how we do our checks and balances because I wouldn’t think too hard about paying that for a sweater, for example.

I’m really over the whole ‘heavier coverage for winter’ thing – if you like lightness, I’m not sure why you’d like it any the less because the leaves are falling off the trees. I do see why you might go light in summer but it doesn’t follow the other way round although the number of times in my career I’ve just gone along with the trope because I’ve never really thought too hard about it, I couldn’t count. You do you!

The shade I have is Bliss. Speaking of shades, there’s a noticeable absence of deeper tones which obviously is an issue – we are well past the times of limited colour ranges. The only time I find it remotely forgivable is with small, new brands who are working their way along the colour spectrum and each new shade pays for the next new shade to come along. Not all brands can bring a full collection immediately as it is enormously costly, but if the intention is there, that feels slightly more comfortable. I think careful choice of initial shades matters and while nobody expects a new brand to come on board with 48 different tones, representation from the very beginning is important.  Chantecaille’s Future Skin foundation goes much deeper in tone although nowhere near L’Oreal/Fenty standards.

You can tell how cold my kitchen is starting to get by the annual appearance of goosebumps! There’s no denying that Chantecaille Just Skin is a very comfortable physical wear – it’s hydrating, softening and gives your complexion a smoothed and lightly radiant look. The SPF value is 15 which is low but I am comfortable with it personally for days that are low light, like today. But it’s each to their own on that one.

This is how it looks on – you’ll see almost identical pictures in the next post because really I took them to show the Bobbi Brown glosses but then realised I should show it here too. You can find Chantecaille Just Skin HERE for £73.

Wow! I’d say it does a great job of being invisible while your complexion looks fresh, even and polished! Love your sweater (and gloss… and smile 🙂 )!

      thank you Anna :-)))

I love this foundation. I actually mix about the amount of 2-3 grains of rice with ample face spf, and magic happens, for me anyway. Used this way, the tube lasts almost two years.
