This ‘Impression of Chanel’ appeared for spring 2010. Designed by Peter Philips, it’s an all over illuminator that gives a golden glow (that you might actually not want all over your face).
I suppose the most striking feature of this little illuminator is the texture aspect. There are pinks, beiges and browns in the raised speckles below the golden interlocking Cs.
I’ve just taken a look (courtesy of Elle.com HERE) at the beauty looks for Spring Runway (shown in 2009) and indeed the make-up was very natural, pared back, beige and gold inspired. I also spotted some lacey sunglasses – wonder if they ever caught on.
Compared to other ‘star’ products, this is one perhaps less flamboyant than others – it’s not my favourite but if you take a look at the catwalk you’ll see straight away that it really represents the collection. At the time it was $65 – a lot I think. I’ve seen it on resale sites for approx. $75.
