Bobbi Brown Nude Finish Illuminating Powders

The forthcoming Bobbi Brown Nude Finish Illuminating Powders are so pretty!  Two of the oblongs in each shade palette are twinkles of gold, pink and silver – ridiculously pretty, if you like to sparkle. However, I did notice after swatching that the initial sparkle disipates so I don’t know if the palettes have had an overspray for the shimmer – as you work your way into the palette the sparkle is less.

I think we’re down to nuance and personal preference here – my information states that it’s a sheer finishing powder that lifts and brightens the complexion that can be worn on bare skin or over make up for naturally glowing skin. I think that’s rather optimistic.

On my skin, the Bobbi Brown Nude Finish Illuminating Powders turned out to be no different to a normal powder when I swirled my brush around the whole palette. You can, with difficulty, pick out certain shades but I think you really have to view these as just very beautiful, slightly tone warming powders.

I genuinely didn’t notice any ‘lifting’ or ‘brightening’ at all. Nonetheless, if you love that minute attention to detail with your skin there is all the pleasure in the look of the Bobbi Brown Nude Finish Illuminating Powders – just don’t expect a miracle! The powders are £39 each and launch next month. On my arm, from bottom to top are: Porcelain, Golden, Buff and Nude.

I saw some other blogger post a picture of them a little while ago and thought they were exactly what I needed as my skin was looking a bit drab, glad you now saved me £39 big ones! They look lovely on the pan but kind of ‘meh’ on the skin…

  3. I purchased it in shade Bare. It is just ok. Nothing more than that. Nice finishing powder with a lot of gold sparkle to it. I don’t mind but i think a lot of women wouldnt like that. Save your money there is better stuff out there

I purchased it the shade Bare, as well. I thought it could give my face a sublte glow/light and more dimension because I dislike the flat apperance a full coverage foundation can give. I like the look of the product but not in my face. There is tiny specks of sparkle in it. I don’t find sparkle in my T-zone amusing so I have to use another powder for my T-zone and this one on the rest of my face. It is ok but I feel far from amazed.
