Bobbi Brown Luxe Eye Shadow

Bobbi Brown Luxe Eye Shadow

I see a lot of high sheen make up but I have to say that Bobbi Brown Luxe Eye Shadow in Sun Flare (Rich Sparkle) is probably the most impactful I’ve ever come across. It’s part of a new drop of single shadows from the brand that uses coated chrome pigments that allow for extra light penetration.

There are three different finishes, Rich Sparkle (four shades), Rich Metal Finish above in the purple shade called High Octane (four shades) and Rich Lustre Finish above in Overheated (also four shades).

It’s interesting that my press release mentions ‘pick up’ because it was the first thing that I noticed and it’s not something that many brands refer to any more. When I swatched Sun Flare with my finger and transferred it to my arm the transfer was more or less complete – in other words, almost all of what I picked up on my finger tip transferred to my arm like a magnet. It wasn’t so dramatic with the other finishes, Rich Metal and Rich Lustre but I’m telling you, there’s something special about the Rich Sparkle.

In the swatch, it’s High Octane in Rich Metal (some sparkle), Sun Flare in Rich Sparkle and Overheated in Rich Lustre (sheen). These are £27 each which is definitely nudging the top end of what I’d spend on a single shadow but they’re so impressive I can see those £s slipping out of my purse and straight into the Bobbi tills all too easily! They haven’t quite launched yet, but if you have Bobbi shopping to do, while I was checking to see if they were on line, the site has a gorgeous offer of a Party Ready Set (Mini Lip Color in Sandwash Pink (2.55g), Mini Long-Wear Eye Pencil in Jet (1g), Mini Eye Opening Mascara (5ml) and Mini Clear Cosmetic Bag with a £50 spend HERE. Is it just me or are beauty offers off the scale good this year?

I feel like no one does Christmas like Bobbi Brown, I love all the sets including the mini ones! I have the sequin single eyeshadows from last year. BB excel at sparkle-it just manages to look expensive 🙂
