Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow Stick Duos

[unpaid/ad/sample/affiliate] Given that I’m such a fan of sticks for no-faff eyes, these are just about my perfect products. I’m so much less into creating eye ‘looks’ than I used to be – bearing in mind I’m in year 13 of this blog I guess it was bound to wear off some time. It’s a strange shift to suddenly look at a whole palette and think about the colours as separate entities and not about how they’ll look together.

I’ve been sent the pink set, but there is a Golden duo and a Bronze duo. In the pink and gold there is a matte and a shimmer option, and in the bronze, they’re both shimmers. With matte sticks, you do tend to get a bit of an amplification of lid creasing – it’s not enough for me personally to put me off them, but the shimmers tend to be far more forgiving in that vein.

All I do is literally colour in my lids, taking care not to go above the natural crease. I just keep it tight and tidy, add some brow colour, some kohl and mascara and that is it! Make up just doesn’t get any simpler than that and yet, you have a polished look that’s both eye brightening and flattering. I would suggest that most tones can use any of these shades although I think the selection naturally shifts towards neutral, olive or deeper tones with the exception of pink.

Even the pink though, as you can see, is more buff and muted than you’d expect. I find that Bobbi sticks have plenty of last, as do the Body Shop sticks if you’re looking for a less expensive option. If you’re my sort of age, I think I’d recommend sheeny or shimmery shades more. The sets are £32 – I’ve got sticks I’ve used to the stub so you’ll probably get your money’s worth. They’re HERE, non affiliate HERE. If you need to top up on anything, with a £75 spend, you get a free Pretty To Go Set that includes a full size mascara 6g, Mini Luxe Lip Color in Neutral Rose, Mini Extra Illuminating Moisture Balm in Bare Glow, 5ml and Mini Illuminating Bronzing Powder in Antiqua, 4g which seems like a great deal. Either way, you always get free delivery and some sampling no matter the price.

How do Kiko sticks compare in your opinion, Jane?

    1. Jane

I do really like a Kiko stick! I’d recommend.

        Hi Kim, Jane
Agree! I am inclined to believe they may be just as good. Certainly price wise Kiko gets my vote and has some very interesting shades.

How do these compare to the Laura Mercier caviar sticks?

    1. Jane

Well, it’s been a while since I’ve used a caviar stick to be honest… someone else asked about Kiko sticks (which I also highly recommend) so I don’t think I can remember well enough to give a useful respose.

  3. Really want to give these a go!
