Bobbi Brown Lip Crush Mini Lip Colour Kit

Bobbi Brown Lip Crush Mini Lip Colour Kit

Apart from the insubstantial plastic tray (it’s time to go cardboard, folks) that these five mini lipsticks are housed in, I can’t find fault with the Bobbi Brown Lip Crush Mini Lip Colour Kit. It’s so sweet and a very careful colour edit to make them as near to suit-all as they can be.

In typical Bobbi style, until the shades veer to red, they’re fairly neutral – and medium pigmented in a matte satin formula that feels quite balmy on the lips. I think it’s really one for those who don’t do ultra bright lips, statement lips but like non-draining neutrals. I’d pop any of these in my pocket to take out and about. The BB website gives an £88 value and the set is £39.50 just nudging in at under the £40 mark. It’s a limited edition set.

From bottom to top: Ruby, Lilac, Bare, Babe and Regal. It’s HERE. If you’re spending over £55 this you get a free five piece mini skin care set (this week) as well – oh, and gift wrap is free whatever you spend.

Bobbi Brown Life Of The Party Mini Kit

The other ‘mini’ that caught my eye is this little quad (reminds me of the Capri nudes palette) with a mini lip colour in Brown.

Bobbi Brown Life of The Party Mini Palette

I very much like the neatness of this – it’s appealing to the (rarely seen) tidy side of my nature and seems like a good travel palette for a weekend away or a very easy handbag palette. It’s £32.50 HERE.

I am a sucker for a mini – I like the idea of at least the possibility of using everything up and making way for other beauty adventures. As it is, we’re all guilt stricken over the massive palettes we have that we know aren’t ever going to end !

Non aff HERE.

  1. That lip kit would make a fantastic gift! Might have to treat myself to one…

You know how much I love a miniature lipstick. They are lovely. But that palette WITH the mini had me gasping. I’m not going to get it any moment soon, because I – as you mentioned – don’T want to feel that guilt at the moment and am using up my make up and trying to restrain myself from buying new. But this is just lovely! No fault to find.

Dou you get Catrice over in UK? The “grown up” sister of Essence? They do a miniature make up set at the moment in Germany/Austria for 7quid. I *might* have to have a wee look at that too.

    All the best Jane!

No we don’t get that brand unfortunately but I love the sound of the mini set 🙂

I had a look today, and it’S the tiniest amount of colour in the tubes. Not the tiniest tubes, just very little lipstick itself. I think, one was metallic and one was matte, where my eyes were drawn towards.
My heart didn’t jump, so I left them. I need that spark of joy in order to get new make up in, collecting or not.

Oh, Catrice and the sleeker more elegant third brand of the Essence mother “Cosnova”, LOV, are really nice. LOV is too boring for me, but Catrice really is my cup of tea. The have the most classic nail varnish bottles (removable boring lid). Great limited editions, just like Essence’s.

You can order Catrice via an Irish pharmacy site: https://www.inishpharmacy.com/c/catrice-cosmetics/990?currency=gbp&gclid=CjwKCAiA5qTfBRAoEiwAwQy-6cEjaoaFX7z4R1qVGuOZ2d_eR5AKsusLLdZW2G3zRHxKom6q7Zm8ZBoCizEQAvD_BwE

They have bricks and mortar stores in Ireland so it’s legit x
