[productsample/affiliate] In one of those weird quirks of fate, I was Googling the term infra-red for an FT feature to see if was hyphenated or not (doesn’t seem to matter) when the postman knocked with a parcel containing the Bobbi Brown Infra-Red palette. Spooky.
It’s hard for me to have a complaint about this new palette given that every single shade in it is right for me – there is a cooler version called Ultra-Violet which is a bit less predictably Bobbi.
There’s a lot of metallic and sparkle in this palette with only three matte shades, and I’d say it’s a safe version of some of the more lurid sunset palettes we’ve seen – if you thought you couldn’t do the Urban Decay Naked Heat, you can do Infra-Red instead as a more grown-up approach.
Luckily enough, the sun popped out as I was swatching so you can get a real idea of the gleam level – I mean, how lovely is it! And, compared to some of the palettes I’ve been looking at in recent weeks (cough, cough PAT) £36.50 doesn’t seem outrageous for this HERE non affiliate HERE. Shades bottom to top are: Stone Cold, Red Rock, Behind The Sun, Infra-Red, Slow Burn, Fever Dream, Interstellar, Solar Flame.
I’m also pretty keen on the packaging – a shade shifty red shot through with orange. Hard to miss!
