Bobbi Brown Holiday 2017 (plus a good offer)

Bobbi Brown Holiday 2017

How many times have I said I never want to see another boring neutral palette? Hundreds probably – but suddenly the Evening Glow Eye Shadow Palette for Christmas is looking reassuringly wearable and actually rather lovely. It’s a five shade bar with colours very similar to the ones I’m pulling out of the Charlotte Tilbury palette (particularly that central ‘buff’ colour) and have been wearing a lot. There is nothing in this line up that I wouldn’t wear and very happily at that.

I’m not sure that it’s quite ‘evening glam’ for me but it’s marvelously uncomplicated, completely ageless in its way and it’s going straight into my keep drawer!

I’ve no idea what I was leaning on that imprinted so heavily on my arm.. do excuse! As you can see, the ‘glow’ comes from the second shade in a shimmery golden colour but it’s all matte there after. I’m starting to come round to matte for eyes. Anyway, the Evening Glow palette gets my vote. It’s £35 HERE. Just to note that I’m linking to the Bobbi site directly because firstly if you haven’t used it before you get 15% off your first order and secondly if you spend over £55 you get a free Shades Of Pink Trio (HERE) which is definitely worth having, but the latter is a limited offer so be speedy if you want to take advantage of it.

Next up is the Party Glow set at £28. What’s very noticeable about this season’s Bobbi is that they’ve embraced the minis in a big way. Both the above products are small sizes which, if you only sparkle at Christmas, seems very sensible because you won’t be left with rogue twinklers in January! But, they do look quite little for £28. I’m not actually sure whether the sets are boxed – mine came just wrapped in tissue but I find it hard to believe that there is no boxing up or more of a gift wrap.

We can’t say it’s not pretty because it is, comprising a Mini Shimmer Brick in Wild Rose and Deluxe Travel Size High Shimmer Lip Gloss in Bare Sparkle..

They’re both quite sparkly so I’m not sure about the two together, but individually for a seasonal shimmer, so pretty. The set is HERE.

The final collection to show you is the Instant Pretty Set at £59 HERE. It’s got a Smokey Eye Mascara, Blush Duo in Desert Pink/Peony, Mini Lip Color in Sandwash Pink, Mini Ultra Fine Eyeliner Brush and a Mini Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in Espresso Ink. As a mix of mini and full size, the shades are all spot on for a natural look. The selections are making me think that perhaps Bobbi is going to come round again – all that neutral we got fed up of is on its way back for the pared back, less is more look (sorry, I have to mention Glossier AGAIN as an example to say that the Bobbi packaging is different but the vibe is not).

I like this collection in a way that if I’m honest, this time last year, I would not have done. Beauty vibes are weird right now!

  1. LOve Bobbi’s nude palettes. You could say they were the pioneeers of ‘Naked’ palettes without the hype! Their lip glosses are the best too (along with Chanel)…

  2. The shimmer brick is very very pretty! xx
