[product samples] Time to brush off your Bowie LPs with this adventurous collection from 3INA. You’ll need to be colour confident for this, and have ample room for the palette which is as impractical for storage as it is exciting.
The Glam Rock palette (£29.95) is a mix of high pigment mattes and metallics – very vivid and perfect if you’re creative. If you’re like me and eternally drawn to the neutrality of a Bobbi day palette, it’s not for you, but it is a reminder that make up can still be fun and expressive and more statement than safe.
I really like the light-feel gel-ish Adreneline blush (£14.95) that puts a peach pink pop on your cheeks with a quick swipe over with a brush – it’s as you make it really either as part of a look or as a complexion wake up depending upon what intensity you use it at but quick is the operative work as it dries fast to a stain. The Glam Rock mascara (£10.95) really delivered on coating for thick, black and volumized lashes although you don’t get much of it.
If you like a silky feel matte lip, you’ll be happy with the Kiss My Chaos lipsticks (£12.95). They’re nicely pigmented although I didn’t test for last this time. The three shades in the collection include a red, nude and deep pink.
See what I mean about getting creative? Every bit of me wants to try that yellow and I know 100% it would look terrible on me! Perhaps I’ll try it fully for an IGTV then we can all see how awful or how amazing it looks! I think you do have to know what you’re doing with shades like this – they’re good for block colour eyes, that’s for sure, or even the trend for a bold shade as a line above the lid (the lid, not the eyebrows.. yikes!).
The lip shades look patchy in the swatch but once you’re swiping on the lips, that’s really not an issue. They’re a little bit stainy so really do stamp down some colour. The last swatch is the blush which I think you can see can deliver (at a less intense level than I’ve shown) a fresh flush. Head HERE if you like the look of any of it but more to see how the colours are being used as a look rather than being a bit out of place in my kitchen.
