Phil Smith Smooth It Out Detangling Brush

Phil Smith Smooth It Out Detangling Brush

If you can’t quite bring yourself to do the wavy brow (or wavy lip) trend from Instagram, you can certainly get waves into your life with this new brush! Is this the best detangling brush I’ve come across? No – not quite (that prize goes to The Wet Brush (from £8.99 HERE)) but the Phil Smith Smooth It Out Detangling Brush certainly the prettiest. Just looking that those wavy coloured bristles makes me smile.

It’s gentle on the scalp and definitely glides well through strands – I think it’s probably better for straight hair that gets tangly rather than curls and I like the fact that the bristles are in a cushion rather than a hard base – it makes the whole brushing experience more comfortable.

I guess it’s about whether you see the benefit in fun and colour around you for utilitarian items – children will probably like this better for looking friendly at least. You can use it wet or dry so it might be a good post swimming brush for those miserable November swimming lessons now that term has started again. It’s £5 HERE.

This looks similar to a cult Korean hairbrush, the kink in the bristles is designed to give volume: https://www.victoriahealth.com/product/Rainbow-Volume-S-Brush/11485

Oh no, not the November swimming lessons! You just gave me the brightest flashback to my childhood swimming lessons Jane, feeling warm from the pool and smelling of chlorine, stepping out into the winter rain and having a mile to walk home, keeping myself going by thinking of the hot bath to come. Ah, the memories! Cool brush by the way.
