Moroccanoil Ceramic Barrel Brush

Moroccanoil Ceramic Barrel Brush

Well, I’ve had a very long term mystery solved! I’ve used the Moroccanoil Ceramic Barrel Brush (size 35) for years – at least five – and it’s a genius of a brush. I really find it hard to get excited about brushes and combs but this is one that I do appreciate (along with my Wetbrush and a Philip Kingsley travel size brush) because it’s a never-fail when I’m blow drying. BUT, I have always thought what a rubbish design flaw it is that the central core of the brush isn’t secure. I never saw any good reason for this until my friend Kelly pointed out that it’s a removable section stick.

You just pull it out and section your hair into manageable blow-dry portions. I should insert a gif now of someone with their mouth open in surprise, but I guess you get the picture without! The above is a new version but my old one has lasted and lasted. I’m pretty sure the ions in the bristles (helps enhance drying time and help to smooth) will have all but gone by now – I don’t know if they’re infinite or not but I imagine not – so I am very pleased to have a shiny new one. This really is a high recommend from me – having tried and tested various brushes over the years, including the ones with bristles that melt because they can’t take the heat from the dryer and the ones that have snapped at first use, I’m having an appreciative moment for this trusty thing and looking at it with new eyes now that I know what the orange thing is for! It’s £14.95 HERE.

  1. This hair brush sounds quite interesting. I love how my hair looks when it’s blow dried but I suck at the technique. It sounds like this brush could definitely help with that and make it easier.

I always thought these were for cleaning the brush out! A new use!!
