Kerasilk Smoothing Mask Review

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I’m almost jumping for joy about Kerasilk Smoothing Mask which performed so far over expectations that I can hardly believe it. I have naturally curly hair which frizzes if I so much as open the oven so I’m always somewhat sceptical about frizz killers. I tried Charles Worthington Dream Coat last week and that worked pretty well but Kerasilk Smoothing Mask is next level.

The claim from Kerasilk is to provide [up to] 67% less frizz. I get annoyed about this kind of statistic because how do you imagine that 67% less frizz looks? It’s not really possible to make that mean anything over and above ‘a lot less frizz’. What does the remaining 33% look like? That could be the deal breaker surely…? Any way, the formula is a blend of shea oils and biomimetic silk which is actually not silk at all but rather a hydrolyzed protein comprising amino acids that mimic the benefits and composition of actual silk. It’s completely cruelty free and silicone free.

Two whole days (and two sleeps) later, my hair is still completely frizz fee. I used Moroccanoil Detox shampoo before applying the mask, which I left in for at least half an hour (it suggests five minutes) before rinsing. This is really such a result for my hair. My 50ml sample came in a post-event bag but you can buy a bigger pot. I’d suggest buying the 50ml because it’s £11.50 HERE so you can give it a try before you commit to the full pot. Also, I have just noticed that there’s a hair in the main picture – as I say, raw!

You look great, Jane – and your hair too! 🙂 I just wonder: if I wanna get rid of frizz but keep my natural curls – will it do? Or it is also straightening? Thanks…

Yes, it will work – I just choose to blow dry straight 🙂
