Aveda Botanical Repair™ Strengthening Leave-in Treatment

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] It’s been literally years since I’ve chanced a leave-in conditioner – I like my hair to feel light and swishy and had found that leave-ins were just too heavy and contributed to build-up.

Aveda’s Botanical Repair Leave-in has knocked my fears to one side because it’s – in a word – fabulous. I use a pea-size amount that is plenty for my mid-length hair and continue on with my blow dry. Even with fast action rinse-off conditioners there are still a couple of minutes to wait to let it soften your hair (which feels endlessly long in a shower) so this leave-in version means you don’t have to even do that. The brand has a money-back guarantee that if you don’t like it within two weeks, they’ll refund the purchase and I really wondered how they could put that offer out with such confidence. Now I know! My hair still feels soft, swishy, smooth and clean, it looks shiny and there’s never been build-up (so far) so if you are in a morning hurry every day, it’s the perfect thing. The pure-fume scent (ylang ylang, rose and marjoram) has a bit of spa vibe to it and stays a while and the formula protects your hair for any heat-treatments you’re doing next (including UV protection). I’ve done a scoot around to see if it’s on offer anywhere – it isn’t – but John Lewis has a 25ml version for £9 in case you’d rather dip your toe, as well as the 100ml version which is £28 HERE, non affiliate HERE. Big recommend from me.
