Kierin NYC Sunday Brunch Fragrance

[productsample/affiliate] I’ve got to admit to being surprised that this new, niche fragrance brand is stocked at ASOS. I just automatically went to the Liberty website to look for it! I think that’s an indicator of how niche is quickly moving mainstream answering consumer calls for less run-of-the-mill or predictable perfumes.

Kierin NYC Sunday Brunch Fragrance

This brand takes inspiration from life moments and as the name might suggest, this blend seeks to capture the relaxation of friendship. I think how much you take to Kierin is down to how well the stories resonate – New York life is a mystery to most of us and this brand is completely focussed on that particular city so time will tell whether it travels well. The point, I think, when capturing personal moments in fragrance notes, is to somehow make them resonate with someone other than you. Sunday Brunch is fresh but smooth – perhaps it is that spring morning walk to a cafe – and laced with Earl Grey notes.

Kierin NYC Sunday Brunch Fragrance

To me, it’s a peaceful perfume – relaxed and pleasing – with gentle, tea-wrapped zest from bergamot and lemon that wafts up from my wrist now and again … all the things I suppose you would want to be when surrounded by mimosas and friends.  Let’s just quickly pass by the fact that my Sunday brunches in NYC have unfailingly been about far too much sugar and coffee so strong I thought I could fly home to London without the plane. Maybe it’s different if you live there and don’t have the red-eye to face.

There are four fragrances – and yes! – a discovery set, which is where I suggest you start. It’s £15 HERE non affiliate HERE.

I live in NY (Brooklyn), and in my experience Sunday brunch smells like overpriced Bloody Marys and overcooked eggs–not quite the romance marketed by this perfume company!
