Grazia Parfum Review

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] After some initial confusion about whether Grazia Parfum is anything to do with Grazia Magazine (grazia means grace in Italian and yes it is the brand’s first foray into fragrance), if you like a sunny, fruity floral fragrance, you will like this wearable, light hearted perfume.

Grazia Parfum Review

I find the illustrations on the bottle and box absolutely charming – somehow anthropomorphizing the bottles in the sketches so they take on a personality (I see one bottle bending over to talk to the other bottles – something a bit Disney Cinderella-ish in there). They’re drawn by Italian designer Daniela Gerini who has given Grazia Parfum a quirky visual identity.

I find the heart note of peony quite strong – it’s creamy and smooth with a dot of peach to sweeten it. The top notes of grapefruit, lemon and blackcurrant give it a sparkle of freshness that aren’t reduced by the addition of sandalwood, white musk and cedarwood. The nose for the fragrance is Karine Dubreuil-Sereni who has Guerlain, Gucci and L’Occitane (also Celine Dion Paris Nights!) under her olfactory belt so it’s little wonder that the fragrance is so accomplished.

It’s launching at the end of this month – there is a pre-order option if you like HERE but it looks like there will be two sizes – 100ml £48 and 50ml £35. I don’t mean to reduce it in any way by saying it is an easy, every-day fragrance that you can just spritz and go. On me the last was good – in texture, my thoughts went to cashmere and soft satin, in season my impressions were spring … it’s not a deep statement-maker, but rather a mood booster that puts in an air of optimism. I can’t see this stopping at fragrance – I’m sure there will be ancillaries aplenty once it gets going.

I love the bottle. The illustrations are so sweet. Do you how I can purchase this living in the United States? I don’t think the website you linked ships internationally.

I don’t – I’m sorry. It’s not clear if it’s an international launch but information will probably emerge later down the line.
