Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Italian Zest

Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Italian Zest

Celebrate the joy of a sunny day in Capri? Yes, I’m up for that! Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Italian Zest really does have some joy about it – it’s so fresh and light that it feels every inch the right fragrance for a searingly hot day. If you don’t know the original Light Blue, it’s cedar and sharp apple up top and it’s these notes that have been given the lemon treatment.

Extracting a decent lemon zest to add to fragrance turns out to be not as easy as you’d think. Both pulp and skin are sensitive to the heat so need to be squeezed in a cold pressing technique to hold the scent and extract the essence. There’s a little smattering of jasmine and rose, followed by amber and musks, but overall, the impression is fresh, vibrant and happy.

There’s also a Healthy Glow Stick in a vibrant yellow casing – the shade is a sheeny, mid-tone gold, just right for shoulders, cheeks or shins. I don’t have full details of price and stockist for the highlight yet but will obviously update when I do.

The fragrance, in the meantime, has already launched (in both male and female versions) and it’s £55 HERE (with 15% off a £30 spend).

After trying it in the mall, I immediately fell in love with the scent and bought one. However, I got disappointed coz every time I wear it no one notices that am wearing a perfume! Even if I am spraying it beside someone, they can’t smell it! It also doesn’t last in my skin. It smells really good but why I am not getting a single compliment/why other people can’t smell it?

That’s so strange.. it’s a light fragrance but shouldn’t be non-existant. You might want to do the ‘walk through’ – spritz some in the air and walk through it which means your hair gets some of the fragrance (hair holds fragrance very well) x
