Diptyque L’Ombre Dans L’Eau

Diptyque L’Ombre Dans L’Eau

If you love rosy notes and are looking for a fragrance that makes your heart want to burst with joy, it’s right here. I am SO smitten with this, I cannot tell you! It’s friendly; like you’ve known it before, but at the same time has a freshness that feels like something new. Nominally, it’s blackcurrant leaves and Bulgarian roses but it has sap notes that cut right through it to make it airy and outdoorsy.

Diptyque

I think the title translates as Shadows in Water or similar and there certainly is olfactory light and shade in this that conjours both known and unknown. Hmm.. I think I have a new favourite Diptyque because I can’t stop smelling it. Actually, just to note that all of Diptyque’s fragrances come with a matching sample, so if you order on line (HERE) try the sample first and if it’s not for you, then simply return the unopened bottle. A genius idea that gets around the problem of buying perfume via ecommerce and I bet everyone picks up on it. Prices start at £64 for 50ml.

I hate to be that person, but it’s Diptyque, not Diptique. Sorry, but it’s making my shrivelled sub-editor’s heart cry a little inside. Feel free to delete…

I love this scent. It’s the same scent (or very nearly) as the Baies candle, which is just beautiful.
