[affiliate/sample] Die hard Diptyque fans will know more than me about the special edition candles – I know that the brand’s four day only City Candles didn’t even make the full four days when they launched but what I’m unsure of is whether the Baies fragrance limited editions are annual. I’m thinking maybe so because this one has 2019 on it.
If you’re a monochrome fan or a minimalist this is going to float your boat – I immediately imagined it in a white bathroom – as all the key note ingredients are depicted in black and white. It’s beautiful and a far cry from the colourful chaos of Christmas.
If you don’t know the scent, it’s a blend of rose and blackcurrant leaves – flamboyant with a dash of crispness – and is one of the brand’s best sellers. If you want to avoid spicy and pine scents at all costs but still want something special, this may well be your perfect candle buy for the festive period. There’s no rule that your candle has to reflect the season! Anyway, much of the world doesn’t celebrate any religious events so all that cinnamon is irrelevant to many.
Any Diptyque special edition is always popular – this launches today (29th) for four days only and only on the Diptyque website HERE. It’s £53 for 190g. I haven’t lit this yet – I’m a bit candled out at the moment but feel that a Diptyque candle doesn’t need any ‘testing’ as such, especially in a fragrance that isn’t new.
