The French version describes this as a ‘palet parfum’ – the English version is a ‘scented oval’. I prefer the French – it’s prettier. Speaking of pretty – this truly is a beautiful rose scent; it’s light, quite fresh and not over-sweet.
The ‘palet’ is a block of (generous) perfumed wax in the centre, surrounded by a light ceramic. As you can see it has a patterned tie for hanging (just noting though that I’m not sure where you hang it from – I don’t really have anywhere obvious for this that won’t look clunky) and illustrations from French Designer, Antoinette Poisson – who designed last year for Darphin. If you’re looking for something properly cheerful in disposition to get you through the snow days, it’s an absolute delight. You can find the Diptyque Rosa Mundi Palet Parfum HERE for £34.
