Wildfox Lobster Summer Sweater

[purchase/unpaid/affiliate] I waited and waited for this Wildfox sweater to come up in the sale because I really didn’t want to drop the best part of £250 on a little throw-on. Sure enough, after Christmas, it appeared at half price in the Harrods sale so I snapped it up and haven’t had a moment’s regret – it’s proved to be one of my go-to’s in the changeable weather to shove on over jeans with a bra top or t-shirt underneath.

Wildfox Lobster Summer Sweater

The weave is loose so it’s a little bit see-through without being all-revealing and that’s the thing that makes it a great summer sweater especially when there’s just a touch of chill in the air before the sun comes through. I’ve worn it and worn it.

Wildfox Lobster

It’s a Nylon 42%, Alpaca wool 29%, Wool 29% blend and hand-washes easily. My default uniform is black and white or jeans and white but every now and again something comes along that seems to blend with everything while being a bit different. I’ve spotted this on The Outnet (£123 HERE) which is now sending out so thought I’d flag it up – I find it cheerful and useful in equal measure. I am a standard size 12 and so M fits me really well – there’s enough roominess for it to be loose and fluid which is exactly how I like my sweaters. It looks like Large is sold out, but XS, S and M still in stock. Non-affiliate is HERE.

    Jane,

I approve! Love the fun of it and the sheerness of it! Been buying sheer fabrics to sew a top just like that but no fun lobster. 🙁

By the way, I love your hot pink bracelet!

Exactly – I like a sheer sweater or top and really struggle to find any nice ones so double-happy that it’s fun AND sheer! My bracelet is hair tie I forgot to take off!

LOL@bracelet! I ended up buying jewelry threading similar to that color on Etsy to make me a bracelet! 🙂 Thanks for the inspiration

I want to see the result!

  2. I absolutely love this Jane, what a find! I too tend to live in basic, easy colours and throwing on something with a fun bold colour and design like this is such a quick way to inject a little something special. x Zoe
