Party Pants!

[unpaid/purchase/affiliate] Okay, so I have well and truly embraced the flare – I am not feeling it just now for my beloved skinnies (which is a great pity since I have so many pairs!). I got myself two pairs of the black flares I showed a couple of weeks ago, Lucy has two pairs and while we were away in France at the weekend and I was wearing them we had to find an H&M so that my friend Sian could buy herself a pair. They’re addictive. So, my very off-piste buy (for me) is this sparkly pair of flares and oh my goodness… I love them.

At £12.99, it felt like a risk worth taking because they could so have easily spent their days lounging in my cupboard while I decided if I was brave enough to wear them but I can hardly stop wearing them! I dress them down – either with a black polo neck or this cream cashmere hoodie and trainers because that’s much more my style but they could just as easily be worn with silk shirts and stilettos. What I like about these is that there is plenty of bum room – so they don’t stretch tightly across the groin but give you more of a flatter appearance. There is a bit of give in them, they’re not sequins, more of a metalised fibre, have an elastic waist and they shimmer more than glitter. I did have to take them up as they came a bit too long for me (5ft 3). I take a size M and they’re a perfect fit for my size 12. They’re HERE.

Love an elastic waist! They look great on you. The black ones on the link don’t look shiny like yours. Might just be a bad pic though.

It’s a terrible pic but if you look at the description it says metallizised fabric x

These look great and at a good price. I’m wearing straight leg, rather than skinnies, but haven’t delved into flares yet. At a similar height to you, I look terrible in wide leg trousers. Might give these a go!

I think flares are so flattering on all shapes – I don’t look great in wide legs either – or straight. Am better with skinny or flare.
