New Season Maxi Dresses

Mango Maxi

Ok, I admit it.. I have bought my first A/W piece of clothing. In July. But, the early bird and all that. Key trends emerging are faux fur and long, both of which I can get on board with. I love the idea that maxi dresses aren’t just for wafting about on the beach in – they’re the style equivalent of overalls: a one item cover-all. And sometimes, when you haven’t quite got round to waxing legs or you’re having a confidence-in-showing-arms crisis, they’re really handy. I’m a long term fan of Mango – I love Zara too but I think they make too many of one item (being one of five people in the same coat in one train carriage was off-putting) so I try to stick to black and white basics from there. Anyway, I thought I’d flag these gorgeous Mango maxis that are new in, great for now (while we have no sun!) and will take you into autumn too (and not a hint of Margo from the Good Life). The one above is £59.99 HERE.

This style has a ruched sleeve – I tried something on a few weeks ago with this new style sleeve and it did feel odd, I have to admit. This dress is £69.99 HERE.

I know without even trying this on that at 5ft 3 I’d have to lop a few inches off the bottom! But, there’s part of me that can just see a long, chunky cardi and boots with this in October. It’s also £69.99 HERE.

At 5ft 2 I’m in the same boat. I love the first one but it’s showing unavailble in all UK shops

I meant I was hoping to locate in a store to try on but maybe I need to just take a punt ! Did you notice if it actually said what length it was ? I don’t think it said

No but at your height you will need the scissors out.. as will I!

Oh I do hope Margot is returning as a style icon! Adored her character & the programme as a whole – perfect 70s tv.
