Friday Treat Nobody’s Child V Neck Vest

[unpaid/purchase/affilialte] There’s nothing like the perfect pink to throw some light into otherwise gloomy January days. This vest was a gift (as in a proper present from my mum, rather than ‘gifted’) and it’s just a delight. I’ve been looking and looking for the right knitted vest, spotted this on M&S just before Christmas so my mum ordered it. Actually, it’s been on a round-Britain trip – she ordered it from Scotland to be delivered to my sister in Yorkshire who brought it to me in London. So well travelled :-)).

I bought some Levi 725 High Rise Boot Cut Jeans HERE (28/30 – perfect fit a week ago but Christmas has caught up with me and they’re a tiny bit snug for the moment – I’m persevering!) in a light blue (see below) and I’m wearing the vest with those and a shirt. It looks spring like but feels winter warm.

I never thought you could break me out of skinny jeans but those H&M flares (which I have worn nearly to death and very glad I doubled up and bought two pairs) set me on a new path. You could also wear the vest with a lightweight (thermal?) polo neck or crew neck as well as a t-shirt although I do not understand warm body/cold arms – or even over a dress. My vest is a size 12/14 and it’s got the right level of drop and looseness for me. It also comes in black and is £45 HERE.

What a lovely west! Not just color-texture, but the length is perfect too (as a short person I all the time meet things that are great on somebody of average proportions but fall wrong for me due to the length – like sweaters that seem nearly-dresses or so)! And jeans! OMG, they come in length 30 (nearly forgot how it is – to buy jeans that don’t need to be shortened)! I think (not too obvious) flares and straights are the most flattering styles to all of us and it was hard time to find any in periods of “total skinny obsession”, so I def celebrate now 🙂 Also happy to have normal and high rise again :). And my latest buy (arrived half an hour ago, he) is a new bathrobe – bright exotic flowers and fruit print, falls nearly to the ankles, properly cocoons (surprised actually – it’s M and I have quite a bum to wrap, some robes are just not roomy enough mid-section)… Ready to my Sunday spa-visit 🙂

Yes, I still prefer vests and jumpers to sit at the bum rather than above it 🙂 Your robe sounds divine – I hope you very much enjoy your spa day :-))

Thank you, Jane! I did enjoy it thoroughly (we were lucky with a very decent weather as well – dry and not too windy, and nearly full Moon and sky filled with stars were like icing to our cake… together with glass rose and delish salmon sandwich with homemade dark bread (If you ever consider sauna spa in the Netherlands… Thermen Bussloo are not for nothing voted as number one in the land ;)). Now I feel like walking on clouds and have total zen mood :)))
