Friday Treat: Darling Sweater

[affiliatelink] I’ve bought very little in the sales this year – somehow, the ‘new’ stuff always looks better and I’ve had my head properly turned by a Marc Jacobs x Snoopy sweatshirt that I’ve resisted so far but can’t stop thinking about. The one thing I do actively look for in summer sales is winter knitwear which is how I’ve come across this Gerard Darel ‘darling’ sweater.

Darling Sweater

It’s 10% cashmere but otherwise, pure wool, and very, very soft feeling. I’ve opted for a size bigger than I’d normally take because this is the kind of sweater that I’ll wear with jeans and trainers and I like the sloppy vibe it brings when it’s just a tad too large.

Darling Sweater

I got it for £70 instead of £105 at John Lewis HERE where it goes from size 8 to 16 with everything at the time of writing in stock. I think it’s good as a holiday sloppy sweater (why are planes always so cold?) with shorts, white linen trousers or just your scruffiest jeans. There’s a green version too – someone alert Charlotte Tilbury who starts every sentence with ‘darling’! (Lipstick, by the way, is Pat McGrath in Matte Trance Elson 2, £35 HERE).
