Friday Treat : Animal Prints That Hit Differently

[unpaid/affiliate] Which of us does not own the ‘neutral’ leopard print in one form or another? I honestly thought I’d never get past my wild feline years but it looks like fashion is giving us a spin on animal inspired patterns so I’ve rounded up some I think are fun and fabulous.

Boden has taken things to a whole new level with this dog print cotton shirt and I think I love it! What a brilliant addition to wear with your work suit or a pair of black trousers and a cashmere sweater thrown over your shoulders. Black and white is my perfect fashion comfort zone but there’s no rules to say you can’t be quirky with it. The shirt is in sizes 4 – 22 (there’s a cat print, too) and it’s £60 HERE.

If you’re still a fan of the trad leopard print, switch things up with a bit of neon. This grey, oversize fit sweat from Scamp & Dude fits the twist on a classic bill perfectly and you can wear it with waxed jeans, skinnies (yes, they’re still allowed!), wide leg jeans or a denim mini. Drop shoulders give it stylish slouch appeal. It comes in sizes 6-22 and costs £60 HERE (this is the one I’m hovering over the buy button for).

Boden, at it again, with this throw-everything-at-them shoes – pony texture, leopard print and some spots as well, just because. If you’re obliged to wear a suit for work, these are the perfect rebel touch and they’re flat so you won’t even have to pay for it with a back ache. Personally, I’d wear any clashing midi dress with these – they’re chaos so go for it! Sizes are 36-42 and they cost £120 HERE although there is a chunky heeled pair if you want to be further off the ground HERE.

If you’re a cat lady, celebrate being a cat lady! Red and pink together is one of the best brights combinations – Boden (again, sorry, but they’re animal rich this season!) has paired this sweatshirt with jeans which seems about right to me but I think I’d opt for wide-leg over any other style. The sweat is in sizes XS to L and costs £70 HERE.

In sizes 8-16 and four colourways, this seems to me to be a very handy little t-shirt for wearing under chunky cardis or denim and leather jackets. The Komodo dragon is very cool, goes with everything from swirly, chiffon skirts to your trackie bottoms and is a slim fit so if you want it looser, size up. I could wear this 100 times and still not be bored. It’s £29.99 (such a lot for such a tiny thing but it is very wantable) HERE.
