I wear a lot of loose, long sweaters and sweatshirts through autumn and winter – and I’m more or less always in jeans or trousers of some sort. Three pairs of my beloved old jeans have truly died a death though – one pair from GAP, one pair from Uniqlo and one pair from Levi and it never occurred to me they’d all give up the ghost together! Contemplating the horribleness of trying to buy fancy new jeans was just a bit too awful to bear so after picking up a pair in GAP that will ‘do’ I took a chance on a couple of pairs from M&S – the Mid Rise Super Skinny Jeans. They’re pretty much perfect for dressing the gap between where your jumper finishes and your boots start!
If I was a tucker-inner, I might be more concerned about a fancy label but I’m not… I just need some decent denim for that particular space – what I didn’t realise is that when M&S say ‘mid-rise’ they’re being very favourable with that term because they hit you at about naval height – high rise would be practically under your breasts, I think. I’ve scooted about on the M&S site – these are just about the only jeans that seem to be selling out judging by the sizes left so it’s not just me that’s loving them. At £22.50 they’re so reasonable… for space fillers! They have them in petite and plus as well. I went for a Size 12 (I’m normally a 10/12) and they’re a true fit (some M&S is generous and I’m often a 10) and while yes, they’re skinny, they’re not ankle stranglers.
They’re HERE – honestly go if you need space fillers!
