I did a bit of body maintenance (I know – sounds like a day at the garage) at the weekend – it’s a good chance to try the body bits and bobs I get sent. So aside from getting the old strip wax out for any strays (I used laser on my legs but still get the odd few) I did leg and arm exfoliation (with Mio Double Buff which still can’t be beaten in my view) and a proper application of the this works Energy Bank Body Makeover oil. I can genuinely say it’s one of the best I’ve ever used and really does put a marker between the brilliant and the average. It jolly well should be good because it’s £32 (HERE) which I wasn’t expecting, but if you want skin that feels like a masseur has been pouring warm oil over and then gently massaging for hours, you’ve got it!

The oil itself is lightly coloured – a yellowish – and is very fluid which means you don’t, thankfully, need a lot of it. It’s a blend of 16 essential oils which gives it a kind of spa smell, and main players are rosehip oil, jojoba oil, passion flower seed and something called Gold of Pleasure, otherwise known as wild flax. It needs virtually no rubbing in.. light sweeps will do.. and the softening and hydrating effect lasts all day.

Personally, if you do want to get your skin in smooth and silky condition, I’d pair it with Mio Double Buff which you should leave on for a couple of minutes after massaging it in before you shower it off (it’s HERE). I promise it works, particularly if you have skin bumps – even a couple of sessions pairing these two will make a big difference in skin feel and texture.

Can one get dressed immidiately or does it need time to sink in?

only a few minutes.. I usually do it in the morning after my shower, leave it five mins or so and then get dressed.
