The Body Shop Hemp Shower Oil

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] Hands up for a full confession – I am not a hemp fan! I just don’t see the draw of it at all and tend to do a swerve from all hemp related things. However, there’s very much a conversion going on after testing this Hemp Shower Oil. Even the smell, which I expected to be earthy and a bit, er, twiggy, is fresh and light and rather nice.

The Body Shop Hemp Shower Gel

It’s for dry skin (and who hasn’t got dry body skin sometimes!) and is satisfyingly softening, turning into a light foam when the water hits it. Actually, I used it on my skin before I got in the shower and then massaged it about under the spray. When you come out of the shower, you’ll feel an oil film on your skin and it’s super softening – lovely – and I didn’t feel the need for moisturiser afterwards although that will be an individual effect depending upon how long you shower and how dry your skin is.  At £9 for 250ml, this is absolutely a treat worth having. Ooh, this sounds like an alternative to the delicious but prohibitively expensive L’Occitane Almond Oil. Although I hate hemp too. Is it a potential dupe, effect-wise, would you say? xx

It’s a very good dupe – smells completely different though! It’s a while since I used the Almond but from memory they aren’t all that far apart x

I buy this for my Eczema prone teen, he loves it and it does really help!

Have you used the L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil – someone asked me if it’s a good dupe and apart from the scent being different, I thought it was pretty close in texture x
