[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I’m definitely going to try and feature more products that are a bit easier on the budget – there’s no doubt that we are all going to be somewhat squeezed in the coming months so any finds I make that exceed expectations I’ll post about. I’m starting with Palmolive UP Rose Petals Infusion Shower Gel which was £1.40 at Superdrug. It’s a rose and black tea gel that you can use as a body wash in the bath if you prefer.
It has a dash of rose petal extract and camellia leaf extract and while there is fragrance added there is a natural black tea note and it is freshly rosy – a bit sweet for connoisseurs maybe but certainly very pleasant and a ‘rose’ experience.
This feels like an easy swap out for Molton Brown Rose Dunes or similar – if what you want is to be clean and rosy, you have it in this. The tube is made from sugarcane which is recyclable (and uses less CO2 in production) and the rose extract is from perfume by-product that would otherwise be wasted. I have reservations about sugarcane as it can be environmentally impactful but the brand uses responsible sourcing based around four pillars (protecting the environment, ethical labour practices, the health and safety of people and business integrity). It’s HERE but probably easier to drop into store (Wilko, Savers or Superdrug).
