Marks & Spencer Soap Roses

Marks & Spencer Soap Roses

Funny how things all come along at once – in this instance it’s soaps. I have a couple here from The English Soap Company right on time for Valentine’s Day – beautifully wrapped and labelled. I love these solid, reliable, rose scented bars – and they’re a complete snip at £4.95 (HERE). The rose scent isn’t huge – just a hint, but if you like traditional soaps over drippy hand washes, they’re lovely. Back to the Marks & Spencer Soap Roses – they’re £5 (annoyingly not on-line) and are super pretty to throw a few into your hot bath. They’re supposed to be the Florentyna fragrance (jasmine, gardenia, orange blossom) but they smell strangely like my recollection of Matey! It’s been a while, I’ll admit, but that was my very first olfactory thought when I smelled them. Perfect for prettying up the kind of light-a-candle, lock-the-door bath time.

Not sure what to do with these. Do they just dissolve or are they a type of flannel?

No, they’re soap leaves – so they’ll either just melt in the hot water or you can use like a slither of soap in your hand. x
