I can’t deny there was a little squeak of joy here when these arrived! There are four new body oils ahead (15th November) dedicated to the Espace Chanel at the Ritz Spa in Paris. Meaning, I think, if you rock up to the Chanel spa in that particular hotel for a massage, these are what your skin will be drenched in before someone gets to work on your knots. How lovely.
There are four fragrances in the new collection (all featuring 98% natural origin ingredients) of which I have Rose and Oriental here but not Vanille or Jasmine. Oriental is a warm and relaxing fragrance; lightly resinous and sweet, while Rose is green and fresh. These oils, I should say, are light in texture and in fragrance – the last thing you need while being massaged is to feel overwhelmed by perfume; it should be seamless within the sensory touch aspect and not the dominant factor so they’re very much fit for purpose in that respect.
Personally, I hate a massage (I lie there with my buttocks clenched willing for it to be over so I just don’t do it any more) but they are available for home use so you don’t have to make that tedious journey to the Ritz spa in Paris ;-)). So, they’re £172 each for 250ml launching, as said, on the 15th of this month. An high-performance indulgence for sure, but oh, they’re so good.
