L’Occitane Reusable Advent Calendar

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I used to think that reusable advent calendars were a little, well, dry. Now, I think they’re a really good idea – we have reusable stockings that come out every year so there is no reason this can’t translate to an advent calendar. In fact, L’Occitane also sells a refill set for anyone who bought last year’s reusable version although you are of course at liberty to fill with whatever you like – that’s the joy of it. Ideas might be miniature gin, food treats or just random little keepsakes.

Despite the price of £165 (value £235), these are the ones that sell out faster than any of the other lower priced ones. I think that’s down to discreet branding (there is one little label at the top – you could pick it off..shhh – and one in the middle that can be hidden) and the fact that we are all a bit more conscious of waste and want reusable things.

I love the fact that it’s jolly, bright and happy – it’s not traditionally ‘festive’ as such which I like because it makes it more versatile. I wish I’d had something like this for homework incentives when Lucy & Max were little. Anyway, to the contents – I never reveal absolutely everything because if you’re buying for yourself then it just ruins the surprise and there is still a bit of me that thinks beauty advents should be as much about the surprise as any other.

However, I’ve got a small selection below and can tell you that a small size of the wondrous Overnight Reset Serum is included.

The 24 items cover off all you might need for pampering – bath, body, fragrance, hair, hands and lips – so it’s a fully formed treat in itself. Do you have any great ideas for reusable calendars? I’d love to hear them. I also see quite frequently on Ebay the Liberty advent boxes going up for sale empty (£50+!!) so they can be refilled. I’m just posting advents as and when I receive them – I have a few more in line so I’ll post in due course. The L’Occitane Reusable Advent Calendar is HERE, as are their other options which I’ll show you later on.

Every year I fill my empty Liberty calendars with chocolate for my children. I buy it from the Lindt shop so I can buy all the fancy flavours from their Lindor Pick n Mix.
