Huda Beauty Blush Filter Review

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] High pigment alert! I love a liquid blush as much as the next person but the Huda Beauty Blush Filters didn’t quite float my boat in the same way as others have.

I really do like the packaging – it feels modern, interesting and definitely a level or two up on standard tubes of liquid blush. They’ve also got a delicious, cool and smooth hand feel.

The shades I have here from left to right are: Watermelon Pop, Peach Sorbet and Strawberry Cream.

So, I don’t think that the colours, when swatched, are well represented by the packaging. They just don’t really look the same so this is definitely a product that needs to be tested before purchasing. I was also not ready for the pigment level that they gave. More pigment is not a bad thing but cheeks are probably the worst place to overkill your colour, especially if you’ve already put your base on. The whole lot needs to come off if you can’t blend fully.

I used three tiny dots on my cheeks with the intention of blending them together but my goodness, it was too much! I’m not wearing a base, thankfully, so it wasn’t too hard to take some away and then just do my best with what was left. Even so, I was blending for far longer than I’d like to be.

It doesn’t look too bad (it’s Watermelon Pop) but I don’t think you should have to work so hard with a product – not for £24 (HERE), anyway.
