Centrepoint Call Out

Yes, it’s that time of year again. I always do a call out to brands on behalf of Make A Difference, a beauty industry led initiative that ensures that young women spending Christmas at Centrepoint’s London hostels have a bag of beauty treats to open on Christmas morning. I’ve been to a couple of packing sessions which are really fun (hard work and brutal on the nails!) and it’s so nice to know that some brands support this year in, year out so whole-heartedly. The young women honestly don’t know the bag is coming so it’s a complete surprise for them and they’re honestly so touched that they’ve been thought of at all.

As usual, if you are a brand that has multiples of 50 of perhaps overstock or promotional products in the skin, hair, body, fragrance, make up and accessory categories, we’d love to hear from you. Make A Difference is in its 19th year now, made possible by the volunteers and the brands that give so generously. If you have product please could you email me at britishbeautyblogger@gmail.com and I can give you the sending address.  I’ll be there again this year packing up the bags and I’m really looking forward to doing it.

  1. This is such an amazing and worthwhile activity. The hotel down the street from me collects Christmas presents for children to give to families that don’t have much, and I was just looking them up today. For lots of years now I have been able to donate a few presents meant for teenage girls with some nice things I’ve bought plus all the little extras from GWP:s and similar that I hope someone else will enjoy more than me.

That’s great – I used to do the shoe box thing and haven’t for a while so that’s a reminder that I should try again x
