#Boostyourfriend London Erborian Experience

Win It!
Win It!

The traditional skin care routine of Korean women is famously complicated – depending up on who you ask, it’s an eight, twelve or even sixteen step procedure! The Erborian brand has its roots steeped in Korean beauty traditions, but you’ll be pleased to know that they’ve narrowed the routine down to three manageable steps; Detox, Boost, Refine.

The nicest part of this competition is that Erborian are asking you to nominate a friend to take part in a Private Erborian Consultation in London with my lovely make-up artist friend Kenneth Soh. I’ll be there too to answer any general beauty queries you might have.

Kenneth looking dashing!
Kenneth looking dashing!

Kenneth will sit you down and show you step by step how to properly cleanse and prepare your skin with plenty of tips along the way. You and your nominated friend will then be sent off (with glowy skin and a bag of Erborian goodies) for a Korean dinner at Jinjuu followed by a night’s stay in a luxury hotel (don’t worry, Kenneth and I won’t be cuddling in with you!).

All you need to do is tell us why you feel your friend deserves a lovely treat and you’re immediately in the running. I don’t feature many competitions on BBB but this one is particularly lovely because it’s about friendship, beauty and learning together.

I’m linking through to the Erborian Facebook Page where you can Like and leave your friend nomination – I’m looking forward to reading about your friends, that’s for sure! The page is HERE. If you don’t want to go through to Erborian, you can leave your nominations in the comments section here and I’ll forward them through for you, but all the Ts & Cs are on their home page and you should read through those. The competition ends on 12th October 2015.

Good luck and look forward to meeting you!

  1. Not back in London yet for this… but this sounds so lovely and I would have loved the opportunity to meet you Jane! If you ever do another meet up………. fingers crossed I can actually make it!

  2. Sophie

I would like to nominate my friend Kristina, she is the best friend I could ask for. she is always there for me, always tells me straight and we have the best time together. Recently she had a horrible break up with a cheating boyfriend and she has been stronger than I ever thought possible. I look up to her in so many ways and admire her strength to pick herself up and get on with things. I know she would absolutely love this and I would love to take her – so I hope you choose us!

  3. I would like to nominate my mum, she could really do with a treat, she has looked after me when I broke my hip and she is a carer for my dad. So she really deserves something like this to give her a bit of a rest and as a thank you for all that she does for us.

  4. Aqua

I would like to nominate my best friend Carissa. She is the sister I never had and is the family we chose for ourselves. Throughout the years she was the one who showed me what it means to build and grow a friendship whilst encouraging each other to grow individually. She is selfless and prides on being kind and generous friend for everyone. For the last four years we’ve been only able to see each other a handful of time because of our different lives but have always made it a priority to talk to each other whether by Skype or trying our hand at writing letters. It would be amazing to surprise her with a reason for us to meet up and escape our hectic daily grind for a bit to hang out properly.

I would like to nominate my sister, Nicky. She’s had the most awful month of her life with the breakdown of her marriage and although shes not out of the woods yet, needs a reminder that she is worth looking after too. She’s the type of person that is always doing for other people and never thinks about herself. She makes me so proud to be her big sister, she’s incredible, despite not believing it herself.

  6. Bonnie

I would like to nominate not only my amazing business partner, but my bff- Natalie. We recently opened up our own boutique together earlier this year, which was such a huge step in our lives after working for companies who were, to put it politely, a disgrace to work for. We are both professional hair and makeup artists so we work around the clock making women feel empowered and confident, along with giving helpful tips and tricks along the way. Natalie is a beautiful person, inside and out who is a fantastic business woman. I know she would absolutely LOVE this experience and she has always wanted to visit London. It is very rare that she gets to treat herself as she is always so busy pampering other people.x

  7. Alison

What a wonderful competition Jane. I wish I could take you up on it, but other commitments right now mean I can’t. Good luck to everyone who is entering!

    Ali

  8. Jessie

I’d like to nominate my friend, Rachel. She works so hard, getting her law degree and working, all with 3 children under 8 whilst volunteering her time to help out our local charity and sitting on the board of governors at the nursery. Despite all that, she always has time to hear out my far lesser moans with much tea and sympathy. She’s since moved to Bath but I miss her loads and since she never ever does anything for herself, I’d love to see her properly spoilt.

I met my friend Sue through a forum years ago and as she has the same health condition as I do but has had it for longer she has given me advice on things she has tried, given me large samples of supplements to try to see if they work for me and written a letter in support of my DLA appeal. On top of that, she is so generous and is forever giving me beauty products to try and picking me up random things she thinks I might like (and bringing her lovely daughter to our lunch meets so I can give her big auntie snuggles!). She’s a real beauty and toiletries junky so I’d love to be able to give her a chance to try these ones.

  10. Angela Heaphy

I would love to nominate my friend Jo. She has had a really tough year with the death of her father who was her only living parent, added to that they come from Australia and his death happened when she was visiting all her family there. She has no family in England and I know she missing everyone terribly. Her husband and son are her only family here. Jo also works so so so hard caring for others in her job that I think a little TLC her way wouldn’t go amiss. x

    Hi Jane
I just watched your most recent periscope where you mentioned this competition and I felt the hand of fate pointing right at me! I would like to nominate my younger sister (can’t believe we are now both in our 50s ahem…). Anyway to try and keep it short – after not hearing a peep from her (despite repeated are you ok emails from me – she lives in South Wales and I’m in Scotland, I knew she had been making the regular “reporting in” calls to our father but I also knew she would never tell him if anything was wrong) for a couple of months she emailed me last night. I knew she had probably been very busy (she is utterly dedicated to her minimum wage job at an animal sanctuary) plus would be a bit down after the recent death of her mother in law – that combined with her husband being away studying at Uni. I was right, she had been down but it wasn’t the reasons I’d suspected – she has recently discovered she has lost all the hearing in her left ear. She has managed to keep working but struggles in any environment where there are lots of people so has just been avoiding them including social and family events (she didn’t even celebrate her 25th wedding anniversary last week) and as a result has become quite reclusive – I wish I lived nearer so I could just give her a big hug. So I think this prize would be just the tonic she needs and it would be wonderful if she won. Her birthday is the 16th of November, so I’m crossing my fingers for her. Thanks. Her big sis.

    1. Jane

That’s so lovely.. sending it over to Erborian right away x

  12. Sarah

    Hi Jane,

Thank you for sharing this competition on Periscope. I would love to nominate my sister, Helen. At the age of 39 she has gone back to university to retrain as a paramedic and in between studying and 12 hour abulance shifts (not very forgiving on the complexion, but she absolutely LOVES her new career), she works weekends at John Lewis and has only 3 days off now until Christmas. So in short, I would love her to spend one of those precious days off being pampered by Erborian to help get her glow back and to enjoy a day off from student life!

    Love your blog and scopes.

    Sarah @supergooders 🙂
