Wonderskin 1440 Longwear Eyeliner Review

[unpaid/sample] I’ve been looking for a deep grey eyeliner for a while – I love grey liners but it’s a long time since I last wore one. Wonderskin sent me three of their 1440 Longwear Eyeliners and it was love at first site for Oyster Blue, a metallic grey liner. It’s meant for the lash line rather than the inner rims but I couldn’t resist trying there as well and honestly – what a success.

The three shades I have are Oyster Blue, Brown Sugar and Gold Mocha and I can easily wear all of them. They all have a metallic element.

The texture is super creamy so no dragging on the delicate eye skin and the pencil lays down a fully pigmented line as you swipe across. It’s not something you’d need to go over again. It’s called 1440 because that’s the number of minutes you can expect it to say put for. In hours, it’s 24!

The formula is very quick to dry – you will have time for a quick smudge with a brush if you want a smokier look or if, like me, you can’t draw a straight line to save your life – which makes it a good option for anyone who is losing their lids a bit and find that their liners imprints to the upper folds under the brow line. I’d advise holding your eye open for a moment or two just to let it set but after that you should have no issues. From bottom to top on the swatch are: Gold Mocha, Oyster Blue and Brown Sugar.

And this is Oyster Blue on me, both on the upper lash line and on the water line. There are 12 colours to choose from and they’re £16.50 each HERE. I now don’t want to wear anything else other than Oyster Blue – if you have grey hair, this is going to give your eyes a dark, shimmery lift and is the perfect match for a red lipstick.

  1. This is a really helpful review! I’m always on the lookout for long-lasting eyeliners that don’t smudge or transfer, and the Wonderskin 1440 sounds like a great option. I love that it comes in a variety of colors, including that gorgeous Oyster Blue. And the fact that it’s so creamy and pigmented is a huge plus. Thanks for sharing your experience and the swatches!

Ooh these lovely and that grey is stunning on you Jane. I am very tempted by the deep green and metallic purple. I haven’t worn coloured eye pencil for years, as my go to now is a solo eyeshadow and black liquid cat eye flick (I don’t care if it’s “ageing”, it’s been my signature since I was 14). But I used to really enjoy the Bobbi Brown coloured gel pots, and the MAC PowerPoint pencils (there used to be a fantastic deep blackened green called Tarnish that I was totally obsessed with). This ended up being a essay! I can talk about eyeliner for hours it seems. On that note, have you read Eyeliner: A Cultural History? I think you’d enjoy it – one of my best friends bought it for me (due to signature flick!)

I love the sound of this book! And I like the sound of a solo shadow and cat flick which would be my look too if I could master the damn cat. Usually, I am just solo shadow and smudge kohl line 🙂
