Wishful Clean Genie Cleansing Butter

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] If you’re a cleansing balm lover you’ll understand there is no greater pleasure than opening a new jar and sticking your finger into that perfect seal ;-). It’s a thrill every time, right? It’s perfection that you’re absolutely allowed to ruin but it still feels a little bit wrong.

Wishful Clean Genie

I mean, come on – you can sense the smile on my face, I’m sure. So, this is Clean Genie Cleansing Butter from Wishful, the skin care arm of Huda Beauty. I seem to remember that the brand soft launched this a couple of years ago in a tiny size and while I’m not certain it was exactly the same formula as it is now, those little pots were definitely the precursor to this melting butter.

Wishful Clean Genie

It’s good for all skin types – and eyes – although it’s mildly scented. It really is super melty and a little lighter in feel than other cleansing balms I’ve used but still sears through make up like a knife in butter. It’s a very effective cleanser made all the better by only needed a very small amount – a little goes a long way. On the box they suggest a ‘dime’ size amount but I think you need even less than that. The ingredient list includes green tea extract and cherry blossom extract – both useful in skin care for clarifying and conditioning.

Wishful Clean Genie

If you’ve yet to dip into Wishful skin care I think this is a good place to start – you remove in the usual way, with a warm flannel before applying your regular skin care. It’s expensive at £31 HERE but you do get your money’s worth I think because of how little you need when using. Non-affiliate is HERE.

I was really skeptical about wishful, so I tried the mini sizes of their products, but I have to say that I am really impressed, I liked everything (favourites are the moisturizer and the rose oil)

Exactly – I feel it exceeds expecations.
