Winter Winners

There are one or two products that I come back to every winter come what may because they outperform anything else I’ve ever found for keeping skin hydrated and soft. The first is Sisley Confort Extreme Levres, worth every single penny of the £35 it costs. The texture is kind of melty but has good staying power and the formulation is packed with every kind of oil you’d need to restore the lipid levels and keep lips soft and plump. It lasts ages (thankfully!) and I keep at least three pots around the house in winter to dip into when needed. My second high performer is Darphin Aromatic Bath & Body Oil, thats filled with lovely, reviving oils such as lemon, pepper, rosemary and sage that don’t overpower but do give me a lift. I also love the fact that unlike so many bath oils, this one really does leave skin not needing any further moisturising because it already feels comfortable and hydrated. I’m a sucker for Neom bath oils, but in winter I end up craving the comfort of Darphin. Lastly, Saaf Cleansing Balm – sublime, nourishing and ultra-cleansing this gorgeous balm is skin softening and balancing and improves the hydration level of my complexion every time without fail. These are all products that I actually do buy even though I have a ridiculous amount of samples from other brands to get through.

Oh lordy, someone else suggesting Sisley Confort Extreme Levres. I’m really, really trying not to get tempted into buying a £35 lip balm, but the merest thought of it healing my terminally chapped lips is just too much of a draw.
